Re: Store | Australia

Re:store Power is a pilot initiative supported by Symbols of Hope that is exploring a more circular, community-led approach to energy. The project seeks to repurpose retired batteries that would otherwise end up in landfill, extending their useful life through testing, refurbishment, and practical application.
Working alongside specialist partners, the initiative is developing pathways to transform recovered battery cells into modular energy storage systems. Beyond reducing waste, the project aims to build local capability, create training opportunities, and improve access to resilient energy solutions for rural, remote, and underserved communities.
At its heart, Re:store Power explores how resource recovery, skills development, and community participation can contribute to a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
