Charmaghz | Afghanistan
Charmaghz is an Afghanistan-based social enterprise working to expand access to education, literacy and psychosocial support for children affected by conflict and instability.
Best known for its mobile libraries and trauma-informed learning programs, Charmaghz creates safe and engaging spaces where children can continue learning, rebuilding confidence and imagination despite ongoing social and economic challenges.
Through books, storytelling, creative learning and community engagement, the organisation is helping bring education and emotional support to children who might otherwise be left behind.
This conversation explores the power of education, resilience and locally led innovation in some of the world’s most difficult environments.
This interview was conducted by Jenn Chin, founder of Uncommon Kind and Villa Akashia Uluwatu, with Charmaghz founder Freshta Karim. Filmed at Villa Akashia Uluwatu, Bali by Duck House Films.
